I believe we have made some improvements that will help our members. SCEA presented a benefit proposals packet to Superintendent Webb in March. We were able to secure the following benefits for 2006-2007:

o 2% salary increase

o Perfect attendance incentive

o Reinstatement of 17 library assistants

o $2000 Supplement for National Board Certified Teachers

Other Accomplishments

o Utilized networking groups for Board members to mentor ARs

o The New Teacher Committee sponsored Trash to Treasure, Christmas Pick-Me-Up and Share & Compare Session for all new members

o Began monthly Collaborative Meeting with Superintendent to discuss members concerned

o Developed to identify new leaders

o Planned a legislative reception to meet with state legislators and discuss education issues
